How to maintain aluminum alloy doors and windows?

2023-10-17

Aluminum alloy doors and windows are the door and window materials chosen by many families. They are durable and affordable, but many people don’t know that aluminum alloy doors and windows also need maintenance. Follow the seven points to greatly extend the service life of your aluminum alloy doors and windows!

1. During the use of aluminum alloy doors and windows, the movement should be light, and the push and pull should go with the flow; if you find any difficulty, do not push it hard, and you should troubleshoot it first. Dust accumulation and deformation are the main reasons why aluminum alloy doors and windows are difficult to replace the old and bring out the new ones. It is necessary to keep the door frame clean, especially the cleaning of the sliding groove. Use a vacuum cleaner to suck away the dust accumulated in the groove and the top of the door seal.

2. When cleaning aluminum alloy doors and windows, people should not step on the aluminum frame, and do not hold the frame for support.

3. Aluminum alloy doors and windows can be dipped in water or neutral detergent with a soft cloth. Do not use ordinary soap and washing powder, let alone strong acid-base cleaners such as decontamination powder and toilet detergent.

4. After the rainy day, wipe off the wet glass and door and window frames in time, and pay special attention to wipe off the accumulated water in the chute. The chute has been used for a long time, and the friction force will increase. You can add a little engine oil or apply a layer of wax oil.

5. The connection parts of the aluminum alloy frame should be checked frequently, the bolts should be tightened in time, and the damaged parts should be replaced. The vulnerable parts of aluminum alloy doors and windows such as positioning shaft pins, wind braces and floor springs should be checked frequently and lubricated regularly to keep them clean and flexible.

6. Sealing tops and glass seals are the key structures to ensure the sealing and heat preservation of doors and windows. If they fall off, they should be repaired and replaced in time.

7. Always check the junction of the aluminum alloy frame and the wall. If it becomes loose over time, it will easily deform the frame as a whole, making it impossible to close and seal the doors and windows. Therefore, the loose screws at the connection should be tightened immediately. If the screw footing is loose, apply a small amount of cement to seal it with epoxy super glue.
